Five Things for Friday
1. We spent Thanksgiving Day at Shawn’s aunt and uncle’s house with his side of the family. The weather was so nice in California, we ate dinner outside! How lucky are we?
Shawn has a lot of cousins and siblings that are our age, and we are all really close and hang out all the time. Was fun being all together, I love all the people in this picture so much! This is definitely getting framed and put on the wall.
2. Thanksgiving Day I didn’t see any of the wild turkeys anywhere around my house. I was joking that they were probably all hiding. But look how many came out the next day! Probably the most I’ve ever seen at once.
3. The day after Thanksgiving we went to my parents house and had Thanksgiving Day #2 with my family.
It was a nice, relaxed day. We played cornhole outside while the turkey was roasting away. And we played the game Heads Up a lot from the App store. So fun!
4. We scored a major deal on Black Friday. Home Depot had patio heater lamps majorly on sale, but they were sold out online. We went to the store and got the last 2 in the store! We spend a lot of time outside, but it’s been so cold lately we’ve been feeling cooped up inside. These work great, and now we have full use of our outdoor patio all year long!
5. I was watching Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons (I am a little obsessed with all the Kardashian shows, shhh!), and got so excited when I noticed they had the EXACT SAME throw pillow that I have on my couch! I knew I had great taste. And now I know the Kardashians shop at HomeGoods, just like me, *wink*.

You are so funny! I love those throw pillows. I am always picking out outfits or furniture others people have on tv that I have. Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving very jealous you were able to eat outside!
That’s hilarious that the turkeys hid!! I love love love the Kardashian’s too… I would definitely be just as excited!! Looks like you have some great family and good times!! :)
Great pictures. I bet you had such a fun time, certainly looks like it. Have a great week friend.
I can’t believe I miss 5 things Friday! You’re so blessed to have so much wonderful family to be with and to be able to use the patio all year round…well I’m just a wee bit jealous. Flurries here today.
Enjoy your Monday friend!
I love that photo with you and all of Shawn’s cousins, so fun! And I am totally jealous that A) you got to eat your Thanksgiving dinner outside (I want to move to California!!) and B) you got to eat TWO thanksgiving dinners! Also…I may or may not have watched a few kardashian episodes when I was home on mat leave (no witnesses ;) ). They are weirdly addictive!
That looks like such a fun Thanksgiving! I wish I had that many family members to spend it with! That is a lot of turkeys! I think Cheeto would go so crazy if those were in our backyard! I’m also a little obsessed with the Kardashiains too! But don’t tell anybody :)
What a fun post, Natalie! I love the group pics on Thanksgiving — such a fun looking group! And the Kardashians and you with the same pillow — who’d have thought? lol I really like that pillow, too!
Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday that we don’t have over here! I really wish we did! :-)
Looks like you had a fabulous time and … outside? So jealous (as she shivers away here in minus degrees!) And … I still can’t believe you have wild turkeys wandering around outside your house. And at Thanksgiving? The cheek!
I love this little insight into your life – lovely photos too! All those turkeys are hilarious!
Your posts always make me smile! You have so much fun and your Thanksgivnig sounds great! Great pictures. And keep it on the DL but I watch the Kardashians too :-|
How fun!! We really didn’t do much of anything for Thanksgiving this year, but to be honest, I was totally okay with it. Last year we had 40+ people for dinner and it was so.exhausting! Your get together looks so laid back! That is how I like them! :)
that last picture just made my day, you are too cute!!! And yes I’m a Kardashians viewer too :)
happy weekend! xx
It sounds like you had so much fun celebrating Thanksgiving with your family! I love the picture of you with all of the cousins and siblings! How fun that you’re all around the same age. I wouldn’t trade our California weather – we’ve had the perfect mix of sunshine and rain recently! Happy Friday!!
I love that you had 2 Thanksgiving celebrations. The pictures are lovely! I wish I could have Thanksgiving dinner outside, but here in NY it is FREEZING by Thanksgiving time.
Also, congratulations on the patio heater lamps. Who doesn’t love some good old Black Friday discounts? lol :)
Your Thanksgiving looks like the cutest thing ever and so much fun!! Also, totally understand your obsession with the kardashians. Totally my guilty pleasure, even though I love to deny it!
We have such a small family that we ended up joining our daughters fiancé’s family (who are lovely)…broke the tradition but looks like we have found a new one!

p.s. I have the same pillows and a lot of them…got mine at Pottery Barn – bet you got a better deal…wish I had a Home Goods closer to me…I LOVE that store!
Part of me wishes we could be having dinners outside here, too! But then part of me is actually really enjoying the snow…. I think for the first time ever in my life! Lol. Maybe it’s because I’m on mat leave and I don’t have to get up early and leave the house!
You are so funny with that pillow. I would have done the same thing! I’m so jealous that’s it warm enough for you guys to have Thanksgiving outside! Looks like you had a rockin’ weekend!
Sounds like you had a great week, Natalie! That must’ve been so nice to eat outside! It’s been in the 30s here for a while now, too cold for my liking! And that Heads Up game is so fun! We always play it when we go to parties. And how cool that you had the same pillow as the Kardashians?! I would totally get excited about that, too. Have a wonderful weekend!
Your Thanksgiving sounds like so much fun! Also, I’m more than a little jealous that you got to eat OUTSIDE! It was so cold here, that we were able to put some of our leftovers on the porch to stay cold after we ran out of room in the fridge! LOL. And I love that all the turkeys were hiding on Thanksgiving! Haha smart little guys. :)
