Paleo Hot Chocolate

11/2 cups almond milk

1 teaspoon cocoa butter

3 tablespoons cocoa powder

3 tablespoons maple syrup

pinch of kosher salt

coconut whipped cream topping, optional


Heat the almond milk and cocoa butter in a microwave safe container for 3 minutes.

Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup and pinch of salt. Whisk to combine. (Or combine them in a blender over low speed)

Serve warm, topped with coconut whipped cream.


If you don’t have cocoa butter, you can substitute coconut oil! Use refined coconut oil if you don’t like the taste of coconut.
