Keto Hot Chocolate

11/2 cups almond milk

1 teaspoon cocoa butter

3 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons monk fruit

pinch of kosher salt

4 drops peppermint extract, optional (love this around Christmas time!)

coconut whipped cream topping, optional


Heat the almond milk and cocoa butter in a microwave safe container for 3 minutes.

Add the cocoa powder, monk fruit and pinch of salt. Whisk to combine. (Or combine them in a blender over low speed)

Serve warm, topped with coconut whipped cream.


If you don’t have cocoa butter, you can substitute coconut oil! Use refined coconut oil if you don’t like the taste of coconut.

If you don’t need to keep it keto, you can use any sweetener of your choice! Maple syrup, coconut sugar, honey, or even regular sugar.
