Whole30 + Keto Sautéed Kale
This Whole30 + Keto Sautéed Kale Recipe is a perfectly sautéed kale in a cast iron skillet with onions + garlic.
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil or ghee, coconut oil or olive oil
- 2 bunches of kale stems removed, leaves sliced
- 1/2 a yellow onion thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt + pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic grated or finely minced
Heat your cast iron skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add your cooking fat to the pan. Add the onions, season with a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until soft and turning golden brown, about 5-8 minutes.
Add in the kale and stir with the sauteed onions. Season with salt + pepper. Cook until the kale is soft and wilted, another 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Taste for seasoning and add more salt + pepper if needed.
Leftovers will keep for 5 days in an airtight container refrigerated.
