Notes

Serving Size & Tips

  • 2 tablespoons of this homemade low carb taco seasoning is the equivalent of those Mexican taco seasonings packets you can buy in the store.
  • For 1 pound of ground beef or ground chicken, you'll add 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning and ¼ cup water, just like the packet. You can opt to skip the water if desired. It tastes delicious on veggies, too! If you’re making more pounds of meat, use 2 tbsp per pound as the ratio.
  • Use this seasoning blend in your choice of meat for taco night or other Mexican recipes like a burrito bowl, low carb taco salad, taco soup, enchiladas, taco casserole, vegetables, and more!
  • There are about 3 g net carbs per 2 tablespoons of this seasoning blend, which is perfect for the keto lifestyle.

Storage Tips

Spices last a long time! Your taco seasoning will last for up to four years. But because it is so good, you'll definitely use it all up before then.
To keep it freshest, store in an airtight container. I love using my 4-ounce mason jars; they're the perfect size for the amount of seasoning this makes!
