Whole30 Compliant Homemade Salsa
Finding a good, compliant Whole30 salsa can be tricky. So many of them have added sugars.
I’ve started making my own, and I am blown away at how beyond easy and incredibly delicious it is! Even better than what I can buy in the store. It tastes exactly like what you get at the Mexican restaurant.
Whole30 + Keto Salsa Ingredients
The best part is it is made using canned tomatoes! So you can enjoy delicious salsa with peak ripe tomatoes all year long. I prefer using fire roasted canned tomatoes. It adds so much more depth of flavor, and gives the salsa that authentic Mexican restaurant.
The rest of the ingredients are canned diced green chiles, jalapeno, onion, cilantro, lime juice and salt. So simple! The recipe is for a mild salsa, but for more heat add in more jalapenos!
How Long Does Homemade Salsa Last?
This salsa will last for at least a week in the fridge, if not longer. Just check for spoilage.

(2) 14-ounce cans fire roasted tomatoes
4-ounce can diced green chiles
1 cup onion, chopped (can use yellow, white or red)
1 cup packed cilantro, large stems removed
1/2 jalapeno, ribs + seeds removed (or more for spicier)
1–2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor. Pulse until combined.
