Whole30 + Keto Mahi Mahi with Chili Lime Butter
Whole30 + Keto Mahi Mahi with Chili Lime Butter Recipe + Video – a low carb 15 minute dinner! Paleo, gluten free, grain free, dairy free, sugar free, clean eating, real food.
You are going to love the compound “butter” on this mahi mahi. One of my favorite ways to bring tons of flavor to a fish dinner is to make a compound butter.
It takes less than a minute to make, keeps the fish juicy and brings so much flavor!

Chili Lime Butter
I call this a “butter”, but it’s really made with coconut oil. If you don’t have issues with dairy, you could for sure use butter, or even ghee. But I really love the combo of the coconut oil with the lime zest and chili powder.
It melts all over the fish and makes it irresistable!
Serving
I love serving this with my cauliflower rice and some roasted asparagus.
Dinner is ready in about 15 minutes!

Ugh I am SO bad about mopping too. I think it drives my mom a little crazy. LOL. Gosh, but this fish?! I seriously cannot stop swooning over that chili lime butter on top and how fresh and summery it looks! This is goin’ on our menu!
I’ll take vacuuming over mopping any day!
Love the compound butter on this fish and your pictures are gorgeous.
Have a great weekend :)
Nat, you are so funny. I actually like to mop and like you I feel happier when I see those lines left in the carpet after you’ve vacuumed… hahahahah! You, friend, are awesome ;-)
I also love fish and mahi mani is one of my favourites too. Have a beautiful weekend.
I have a special place in my heart for compound butters…and this one is perfection Natalie! I confess, I have a two-room apartment and I get bogged down by cleaning sometimes. Haha! I’m so not a fan of mopping. I swiff like nobody’s business though. :) I need to pick up some mahi mahi this weekend, you’ve got me craving this!
That is one mean looking dish! Can we please get together and you make me this?! I’d definitely be dining in style with this.
Natalie, I actually have cleaning people come every other week. . we have a big house and with the kids. . I can barely keep my kitchen and bedroom clean. I need all the help I can get! So, we have the floors cleaned twice a month. . you have a good husband!!! wow, he cleans the floors, that’s awesome! and I love mahi mahi . . gimme all the chili lime butter!!!
Kurt and I have been trying to eat fish 3-4 times a week and I’m totally going to add this to the menu. Eating salmon and cod all the time can get boring, mahi mahi it is :) Going to Costco tomorrow.
no mopping for this girl either! only if there was a spill. I’m not a big fan of cleaning in general so I try to keep it to a minimum :) Ahh this looks like a perfect weeknight dinner. Salmon is the only thing that tastes decent in this landlocked country, but I’m sure this butter is versatile enough to pair with it!
I maybe mop like once a week or so? Usually just depends on how dirty it gets and how long I let it bother me lol. But this mahi mahi looks amazing!
Does using Swiffer count as mopping?! If not, then I have never mopped our floors, haha! And if the Swiffer does count as mopping then I’ve probably mopped like twice in the last year! Both are bad!
I love how healthy and light all your meals look! It makes me want to sit out on the patio with a glass of wine and this gorgeous looking mahi mahi :)
Mopping floors is my favorite task – I actually miss living with my parents because of the huge kitchen tiled floor! I now only have a small little kitchen to mop in my apartment. I’m crazy, I know! This mahi mahi looks AMAZING. I love compound butters and I love any kind of fish. I’m definitely going to pick up some mahi mahi this week at costco so I can make this!
Ah, vacuum lines in the carpet. Is there anything more satisfying :)? This fish looks amazing! I love the flavors you used in that butter.
That mahi mahi looks so tasty, Natalie! And I love the chili lime butter, super creative!! :)
seems we have the same mopping strategy friend! I never mop and I have kids so that makes it worse :( but the kids just mess up the floors the second I clean them so what the hey? This Mahi Mahi looks awesome. I need to give it another try, I’m so boring I usually just stick to salmon! this looks like the perfect healthy and fast meal!
I hate mopping too but have to mop pretty often since the kiddos are always playing on the floor and making a mess. Love seeing the lines on the floor after vacuuming too:) This mahi mahi looks incredible! We have fish three times a week and I can’t wait to try that chili lime butter!
Meh, mopping. I get it. I looove the thought and feeling of squeeky clean floors under my bare feet and it feels so good after its done.. but I think about it, dread it, far too long before I actually just do it! Then, it’s like the lines in the carpet… ahhhh, serenity!
Lovely dish, and fast! That compound butter is dreamy!!
I absolutely HATE mopping! It is the worst! But I have to do it because Baby Stella gets more of her food on the floor than into her mouth.
This mahi look incredible! We eat mahi a couple times a week so I am gonna have to start using this chili lime butter!!
Pinned!
I have to mop my floors every week – with the kids they get DIRTY! Plus the kids are always playing on the floor, so I figure it should be semi-clean (emphasis on the semi!). :) This fish looks fantastic! I love the bed of asparagus that it’s served on!
I love seeing the lines in the carpet from the vacuum as well! It IS relaxing! This sounds delicious with the chili lime butter! Yum!
Mahi mahi is one of my favorite types of fish, yet I never think to make it! I definitely need to change that after seeing this recipe. And that chili lime butter looks just perfect! What a delicious summer dish, Natalie!
