Whole30 + Keto Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
Whole30 + Keto Jamaican Jerk Seasoning Recipe – a blend of warm spices to make a homemade tropical jerk spice rub. Delicious on meat and vegetables! Paleo, gluten free, grain free, dairy free, sugar free, vegan, clean eating, real food.
This warm, flavorful and tropical whole30 + keto jamaican jerk spice blend has been jazzing up my meat and fish all summer long!
I love a homemade spice blend! When you make it yourself, you don’t have to worry about it having added sugar or any of the weird ingredients that are in store bought spice blends. This way I always know it’s whole30 approved. I’ve already shared my taco seasoning, cajun seasoning and now my newest favorite, this jamaican jerk seasoning!
Whole30 + Keto Jamaican Jerk Seasoning Spices
This jerk spice rub is made using spices you probably already have in your house.
Onion powder, garlic powder, salt, dried thyme, dried parsley, smoked paprika, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cayenne pepper + red pepper flakes.
Store bought jamaican jerk seasoning can be really spicy. This recipe is for a mild spice to keep it kid friendly. I wouldn’t even consider it spicy. If you like yours spicier, add more cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes!
Using Whole30 + Keto Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
This spice rub is delicious on everything! I’ve used it to season chicken, pork, beef, fish, shrimp, you name it. Even vegetables!
I especially love it paired with my whole30 + keto mango salsa! Tropical and sweet and tangy and the perfect match with this spice blend. You’ll feel like you’re on vacation in Jamaica!

This is the most amazing recipe for Jerk seasoning! I usually don’t get raving compliments from my husband. He’s the head chef in our kitchen!
Thank you for sharing!!
This made my day! Thank you Alicia!
What do you do with dry spice like this? Most marinade I use are wet so I’m not sure how to use this pre cook?
I just sprinkle it on top of the chicken with some olive oil to make a paste! You could also use a wet marinade with lime juice and oil.
Omg this spice mix is total game changer from the norm. The fireworks of flavors I felt like Remmy in Ratoutille. Thank you it’s definitely going to be a staple seasoning at my house
Haha! That’s amazing!
I am doing Whole30, and of course! none of the commercially available marinades or seasoning mixes omit sugar or molassas so I bought all the spices (most I already had ;) and used this recipe as the seasoning base for a liquid marinade for chicken thighs heading for the grill the next day… OMG. Thank you for this recipe! I added 1/2 tsp cumin and 1 tsp black pepper to the dry mix because I saw it in another recipe, and I like mine *very* spicy.
I can’t wait to try this as a dry spice rub!! I’m so glad I found this. Thank you for this recipe~ Jimi
