Paleo + Whole30 Mocha Latte Recipe – a clean eating mocha coffee drink made in your blender! Made with dairy free almond milk. Sugar free and vegan!

I’d like to introduce you to my new best friend. Meet the paleo + whole30 mocha that I have every single afternoon.

Before I had kids, I rarely drank coffee drinks for energy. Just occasionally for fun. Then I had kids. I now have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Momma needs her coffee. As soon as I put my boys down for their naps, the first thing I do is make this clean eating mocha to give me the energy I need to keep going for the second half of the day.

Along with giving me a little boost from the caffeine, this paleo + whole30 mocha is a delicious treat I find myself looking forward to all morning. A warm cup of chocolatey, creamy coffee really hits this spot.

I use the leftover french press coffee my husband made himself from earlier in the morning. I add in some almond milk (or canned coconut milk if you want it even richer!), cocoa powder. It is the perfect mocha that I like even more than Starbucks.

The ingredients of a mocha in a blender

To give this paleo + whole30 mocha the signature frothiness you love from a coffee shop mocha, I throw all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high for a minute.

My Vitamix foams it up perfectly, so no fancy coffee equipment is needed!

If you like it hot, heat up the coffee and almond milk before blending. If you want it iced, you can leave the coffee room temperature and use cold almond milk from the fridge and serve it over ice. If you want it to be a frappe, add in a big handful of ice cubes when blending.

I love hot mocha’s in the winter, and iced or frappe mochas in the summer.

After making this paleo + whole30 mocha, you’re never going to want Starbucks again. I recently had a Starbucks mocha, and it was SO overly sweet, and had that fake/chemically taste you get from things with “natural flavor” added in. Gross. Now it’s homemade all the way.

Even better is how healthy this mocha is! Paleo, whole30, dairy free, refined sugar free, gluten free, grain free, soy free, healthy living, clean eating, real food.
