Pantry Makeover

I shared this amazing pantry makeover I did on Sunday! It was my Christmas present to myself to splurge on all these amazing Oxo pop top containers. NOW I LOVE MY PANTRY! Our pantry is tiny, just like our house, so having it organized makes all the difference. Great way to start off the new year!

I have all the containers I use, my erasable labels and the pantry lights Shawn added in linked in this post.

Marriage Games

This is a fun game my husband and I like to play. It’s called “Who Can Wait The Longest Before Caving And Taking Out The Trash?”.

Spoiler alert. I always win. Hahaha! Shawn’s such a hero and always takes out the trash. And I’m very good at continually smashing it down so I can keep piling on more garbage!

38 Weeks!

On Tuesday I had my 38 week appointment for baby boy. He’s doing great! Still head down!

She checked me, and I’m already at 4cm! I was shocked! I had about 3 hours of contractions super early in the morning on New Years Eve. I was up pacing the house getting so excited thinking it was time, and what a fun birthday New Years Eve would be. But at 4am I was so tired I laid down and fell asleep, and the contractions stopped.

Now I feel like I want to keep him in a little longer, since the 1st week of January doesn’t seem like the funnest time to have a birthday. Everyone is partied out, on a diet, on a budget, hungover, ha!

Baby boy is welcome to stay in as long as he needs! It’s actually working out great because Shawn gets paternity leave through his work. BUT! He’s only allowed to do paid family leave once every 12 months. Our oldest son Josh had his knee surgery on January 21st, 2020 and Shawn took time off to be home while Josh recovered. SO! He’s not eligible for paid family leave again until January 22nd. This boy is due January 20th! I didn’t know any of this, and am shocked at how perfectly the timing worked for that. Every day closer to the 22nd I get even more excited because there won’t be as long of a gap of Shawn having to go back to work for a few days before he can start his paternity leave.

“Water Broke, But Not MY WATER Broke!”

On Friday, Ryan was washing his hands, and somehow the faucet knobs broke and the hot water was stuck on! I could not get it to turn off! See how both knobs are in the “off” position, but it’s still pouring out water?

I called Shawn 3 times with no clue what to do. He didn’t answer (which is also insane of him to do with baby due soon, haha!).

I kept thinking it was going to be so hard to explain that the water is broken, but without him panicking and thinking that MY WATER broke and I was in labor, haha!

I called my dad, who is a hero and answered on the 2nd ring. I said, “Hi Dad! Not in labor. The bathroom sink faucet is broken and stuck on! I can’t get it to turn off! Help!”

He told me to look under the sink and turn the knobs behind the pipes to turn the water off. Totally worked! Learned something new that day!

Little Luxury Of The Week

Chiropractor

I’ve been treating myself to a chiropractic visit once a week since I’ve been 6 months pregnant. And going twice a week since I’ve been 37 weeks pregnant. It’s been helping me SO MUCH with any aches and pains and my sciatica! Plus, it feels like a mini mommy vacation for 20 minutes. First time doing chiro visits, and can see why everyone loves it. Especially when pregnant. Everything is growing and stretching and loosening up so quickly. Nice to have your spine and posture all aligned!

I see Dr. Michelle at Precision Chiropractic in Danville, CA. Highly recommend if you’re local! She specializes in prenatal chiro!

Pregnancy Support Belt

I also got myself this pregnancy support belt and it has made such a difference! Distributes the weight of the baby way better as I chase around my 2 older boys. I wear it OVER my favorite maternity leggings, but under my shirt. I think it would be a little scratchy if I wore it right on my skin. Plus, I like being able to adjust it as I sit and stand since it moves a bit, so nice having OVER my pants. Not the most attractive belt, haha! But the black blends in pretty well with my leggings. And I’m all about comfort over fashion at the moment.

Funny Story Of The Week

In the time it took me to change out 1 load of laundry, Ryan: went out the front door, TURNED ON THE HOSE, filled up this bucket with water, got the BBQ spatula, GOT NAKED, put all his clothes in the bucket, and was pretending to wash his clothes like momma who was doing laundry.

YOU GUYS! I can’t make this up.

I am very pregnant, and moving pretty slow when changing laundry, but it was for sure under 2 minutes.

Did I mention is was super cold and rainy out?

Our sweet Ryan is forever keeping us on our toes. Never a dull moment with this little squirrel!

Have A Great Week!

Our lazy Saturday on the couch, cozy as can be! Morning snuggles and cartoons and hot cocoa in sippy cups is my favorite.
