Charitable Organizations

Please, please, please consider donating to a charity this holiday season. Particularly this year. Many families are struggling. My family is donating to Operation Christmas Child. We are fortunate enough to have more than enough, and it is an honor to give back to those in need.

Here are some great organizations you can get involved with!

Operation Christmas Child
- Donates a shoebox full of toys and essential items to a child in need. Each shoebox is $25. You can very easily build it online, or choose for the organization to fill the box for you. I love building it online with my kids and let them choose the items to add so they learn how important it is to give back.
Toys for Tots
- You can donate a monetary amount of your choice, or you can donate requested toys that have varying price.
Salvation Army Angel Tree
- Head to their site and enter your zipcode. Children in need have registered for toys they want, and you can order them to be gifted through Walmart. The toys are for varying ages and dollar amounts.
St Jude
- A wonderful children’s hospital that accepts monetary donations on their site.
Make-A-Wish Foundation
- You can make a monetary donation on their site to help fund the wish of a child with a critical illness.
Operation Christmas Spirit
- Supports military families. There are many ways to contribute: “adopt” a military family, gifts for single service members, donate a monetary amount and allow the charity to do the shopping, etc.
